I'm Dale Powell. Welcome to PowellPix - my gallery of images from around my home and around the world. Feel free to browse, invite your friends, comment on the photos and see the world as I've seen it!
I'm a serious photographer from Oakville, Ontario. By day I'm a portfolio manager. I started taking photos about 10 years ago, with my first digital camera, a Canon Sureshot. I moved up to a DSLR in 2004, and use Olympus equipment - an E620 with a variety of lenses.
I specialise in three main areas: travel, with images I've taken around the world, from Iceland to the UK, New York to Spain; macro, with mainly flowers and plants; and local places - people, buildings and nature.
My plan is to start photo blogging, and I'll be looking to regularly add images as I take interesting ones. I hope you'll visit my galleries, and visit often. Please let me know what you like and what you don't about the images you see here.
